Welcome to the

332nd Virtual Fighter Group!

Commanded by Col Benjamin O Davis, the 332nd was able to boast 111 aerial kills, 150 strafing victories and even the sinking of a German naval vessel by the war’s end. The group were both feared and respected by the Germans, and considered by many to be the best bomber escort pilots for the USAF during World War Two. They did this while being told they were not smart or brave enough to even be fighter pilots….they ROSE ABOVE.

Why the 332nd?

While starting this flight simulation group, we noticed there are a couple other flight simulation groups that have used other historical flight groups as their group name. We chose to honor the 332nd Fighter Group. Even though we primarily World War 2 flight simulations, we also fly in simulations that start in World War 1 all the way through modern day jets. We plan to add additional squadrons like the 477th Bombardment Group, the 201st Fighter Squadron (Aztec Eagles), as well as others. We also plan to add a possible ground Battalion, the 761st Tank Battalion (Patton’s Black Panthers). Though we identify as the 332nd Fighter Group, we also play as other nations and factions to Honor them as well as the Tuskegee airmen.

Who We Are

We are a group of experienced flight sim pilots with most members having started out playing War Thunder under the 99th Pursuit Squadron Tag. This Group will be organized based on the real-life 332nd Fighter Group with the 99th, 100th, 301st, and 302nd Fighter Squadrons, with senior members being placed in the 99th. As a group we not only enjoy flight simulation games, but we also enjoy the aspect of immersion caused by reenacting similar combat situations the brave pilots throughout history had to endure. These men, many who gave their lives, showed extreme bravery and skill in which we try to honor them by maintaining a historical and tactical mindset similar to that they maintained while conducting aerial combat.
